Palomar Lux1540 Fractional Laser

Fractional resurfacing is an exciting new development. We have one of the UK's first Palomar Lux1540 Fractional Lasers. This laser has recently been featured on GMTV. Fractional resurfacing offers a safe means of treating skin to improve texture by stimulating new collagen growth. This is an excellent treatment for skin with fine lines and scars.
Most patients will require 3 to 5 treatment sessions.
Palomar developed and patented Fractional Photothermolysis to create a revolutionary treatment: soft tissue coagulation and non-ablative skin resurfacing with high efficacy and little downtime.

The Palomar LUX 1540 Fractional Laser Handpiece delivers light in an array of high precision microbeams. These microbeams create narrow, deep columns of tissue coagulation that penetrate well below the epidermis and into the dermis, while sparing the tissue surrounding the columns from damage.
Deep Penetration for Best Results
The Palomar LUX 1540 microbeams penetrate deeper (up to 1 mm) than other devices. These deep columns of coagulated tissue initiate a natural healing process that accelerates the formation of new, healthy tissue to fill in the damaged treatment zones; the deeper the columns, the more new tissue. Coagulated collagen and cellular debris is expelled as skin is resurfaced. Throughout the process, the integrity of the top layer of skin is maintained, which protects the tissue from infection as it heals.
High Efficacy, Little Downtime
The Palomar LUX 1540 offers greater energy per microbeam than any competing device. With only two or three passes, the handpiece achieves a high density of high-powered, deep penetrating microbeams for the most effective deep corrections and long-term dermal remodeling obtainable.
Safety and ComfortThe Palomar LUX 1540 protects the skin by delivering microbeams in one short pulse at a time with simultaneous active contact cooling. LUX 1540 treatments are significantly more comfortable than systems that deliver beams over longer periods of time. This treatment can be tolerated without any anaesthetic however we usually apply a topical anaesthetic cream to reduce discomfort.
